Confirmation

With Baptism and the Eucharist, the sacrament of Confirmation constitutes the set of "sacraments of Christian initiation", whose unity must be safeguarded. It is therefore necessary to explain to the faithful that the reception of this sacrament is necessary for the fullness of baptismal grace (cf. Confirmation Ritual, Prenotandos 1). Indeed, the baptized "the sacrament of Confirmation unites them more closely to the Church and enriches them with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. In this way they are even more obliged, as authentic witnesses of Christ, to spread and defend the faith with his words and deeds" ( LG  eleven; cf Confirmation Ritual, Prenoting 2):
